Meet Emily, Owner & Founder of Space for Joy
Hello! I'm Emily. It's so nice to meet you!
As you read this, you may experience shame about your home. From the outset, I want to assure you that my approach is non-judgmental. First, I recognize that we all organize differently. Also, I know that most people do not naturally maintain organized spaces.
Maybe your life is full due to exciting life transitions - an upcoming move, a new baby, a marriage. Or you may be drowning due to a recently received diagnosis that has turned life upside down, the recent loss of a loved one, or the decision to move out of the home you have lived in for decades. Some life stages are especially challenging: parenting with young children & parenting kids while also caring for one’s older parents.
With diverse professional experience, ranging from providing animal training & enrichment to youth ministry associate to diabetes educator, I have developed the skills to ask questions that get to how you use your space & how you would ideally want it to be.
I have also had extensive experience planning, executing & adapting projects according to various restrictions or changing plans. There is no project too large (or too small!), & I look forward to partnering with you to develop a maintainable organizational solution to help you love spending time in your home.

Our Organizing Process
Generally speaking, an organizing project will include:
- Sorting items into categories
- Identifying a home for categories
- Purging items to fit in home
- Home-ing items for future use
