1 We begin with a 20-30 minute free assessment (virtual or in person)
- Through questions I ask, I will get to know your goals for the space, your organizing style and your budget.
- The estimate includes the room(s) or space(s), approximate time it will take, and estimated cost.
- Projects longer than 1 day are scheduled on consecutive days if possible to prevent unnecessary disruption in your day-to-day life.
Who purchases supplies for the project?
There are a couple of options:
- We can use what you have on hand;
- I can provide you with links to supplies that I recommend for you to purchase in advance of the organizing dates. The final invoice will include the time spent researching projects ideal for your space.
- I can purchase the supplies. The final invoice will include the cost of the supplies and the time spent researching products ideal for your space.
What should I do to prepare for the organizing project?
- While it might be tempting to "organize before the organizer arrives", you hired me and it is my pleasure to organize your space. I will not be surprised or overwhelmed by what I find.
- Be ready at the agreed upon time. If we are working together, you may want a snack beforehand and water available while we work.
- If something comes up and you are not available on the date(s) we scheduled, contact Space for Joy ASAP. Rescheduling less than 48 hours before the scheduled project may result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
Can you work if I have a dog or cat in my house?
- As an animal lover, any pets in the home are welcome as long as they do not pose a risk (biting, aggressive behavior). We do ask that you disclose in advance if you have furry (or feathered) friends.
